Metro Commercial Negotiates Five New Leases in Warminster Plaza Shopping Center

SMG SportsPlex of Warminster and Appliance Solutions Now Open  – La Bella Vida Italian Restaurant, Monster Mini-Golf, and STS Auto Opening Soon

Warminster, PA - April 15, 2010 - (RealEstateRama) — Metro Commercial, one of the region’s largest full-service retail real estate firms, announced today that it has wrapped up five lease transactions for Warminster Plaza.

 

Located at the intersection of York Road and Street Road, Warminster Plaza is a 118,325 square-foot neighborhood center anchored by Petco and recently opened SMG SportsPlex.  Metro Commercial’s Joe Dougherty and Randy Hope served as the exclusive leasing agents for the center, which is owned by WSC Warminster Plaza Associates, LP.

The 73,000 square-foot SMG SportsPlex, which opened in January 2010, has been in the sportsplex industry for 10 years, specializing in the construction and operation of indoor sports arenas.  Warminster is their 4th location in the mid-atlantic.  Also just opening for business is the 6,300 square foot Appliance Solutions.  This locally owned and operated appliance retailer sells a comprehensive selection of appliances, kitchen cabinets, electronics, and improvement items for the home.

Opening within the next few months are Monster Mini-Golf, La Bella Vida Italian Restaurant and STS Auto.  The center, which had suffered significant vacancies when Metro Commercial begun its leasing assignment, will then be substantially full-occupied.
