The property, formerly a Strauss Auto store is in the heart of South Philadelphia and near the booming neighborhood of Bella Vista.
Metro Commercial’s Joe Dougherty represented the Landlord, Kimco Realty, in the lease transaction. Family Dollar was represented by John Wexler of Wexler Commercial Real Estate.
“When the store opens later this year, the South Philadelphia location is a centralized spot for Family Dollar to service a wide variety of residents in the surrounding neighborhoods,” said Dougherty.
Beginning with one store in 1959, in Charlotte, North Carolina, the company currently operates more than 6,700 stores in 44 states. The stores sell variety products including housewares, food, toys, beauty products, gifts, books, seasonal and party goods.
