CONSHOHOCKEN, PA – February 7, 2008 – City of Millville Mayor James Quinn says that plans to construct a new grocery-anchored retail center at 700 North High Street mark yet another significant milestone for the city as it continues its surge toward revitalization.

“This is a very exciting time for Millville,” says Quinn. “We are a city that is definitely on the move. I applaud the efforts of all those who helped make this agreement possible.” Metro Commercial’s Randy Hope represented Atlantic Realty Company of New Jersey in the purchase of the 4-acre blighted property that was once the home of Daunoras Family Market. The new retail center, which is easily accessible from all points north and south of Millville, is expected to open by the summer of 2008. “Save-A-Lot will be a great addition to Millville,” says Louis Sacco of Atlantic Realty Company. “It will fill a long time void for residents and serve as a catalyst for additional economic development.”

A major part of Millville’s revitalization efforts has to do with the impending opening of New Jersey Motorsports Park. The racing facility, which is also expected to commence this summer, will bring plenty of tourists to benefit existing businesses and entice local developers. The park is located on 707 acres of land owned by Millville. According to Rowan University Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship’s economic analysis, within the first five years of operation, the project will have an estimated $229 million economic impact and result in the creation of more than 6,000 jobs within the greater Cumberland County area.

A city of 27,000 residents, Millville offers affordable housing, plenty of room for manufacturing and commercial enterprise, and easy transportation access to major regions throughout the Northeast Corridor.
