Successful agents can better serve their customers and clients by effectively and accurately communicating the key characteristics of a property. Learn about site structure, style and mechanicals; environmental hazards; and home inspections and warranties. This course will prepare you to:
• Provide a general description of the type of site, structure, and mechanical systems common to most residential properties
• Describe regional similarities and differences in the construction and style of homes
• Identify typical environmental hazards and problems that affect residential real estate transactions
• Describe the advantages of recommending professional home inspections to buyers and sellers
• Identify qualified home inspectors and describe a typical home inspection
• Distinguish between the two basis types of home warranty programs, and describe their potential benefits and problems
* Students must attend the entire class and achieve a 70 percent grade on a final exam to receive designation credit. *
