Metro Commercial Lands hhgregg for Berwyn, PA
Berwyn, PA – June 14, 2010 – (RealEstateRama) — Metro Commercial, the region’s largest full-service retail real estate firm, announced today that it has completed a 40,135-square foot lease on behalf of ownership for hhgregg Appliances & Electronics store in Berwyn, PA.
This store will serve the super-regional greater King of Prussia trade area and near-western suburbs of Philadelphia, as hhgregg enters the region. This location will open this summer in Swedesford Plaza, a 152,000 SF neighborhood center located at 428 N. Swedesford Road in Berwyn, PA. hhgregg will occupy the space vacated by Circuit City, and additional tenants of the center include Pathmark and Golf Galaxy. Metro Commercial’s Joe Dougherty represented the Landlord in the transaction. Jeff McElhinny of Atlantic Retail Properties represented hhgregg.
hhgregg is a leading specialty retailer of premium video products, brand name appliances, audio products and accessories and currently operates 157 stores throughout the U.S. The retailer is just entering the Philadelphia and Greater Delaware Valley area marketplace.
