True Religion Apparel expected to open in spring of 2008
CONSHOHOCKEN, PA – February 1, 2008 – Metro Commercial President Steve Gartner is doing his part to ensure Rittenhouse Square retains its reputation as the most chic and exclusive shopping area in all of Philadelphia.
Gartner recently managed lease negotiations on behalf of True Religion Apparel, and the fashionable retailer is expected to open its 1,600-square-foot location at 1604 Walnut Street by the spring of 2008. It will be the retailer’s first store in the greater Philadelphia region, adding to its list of prestige locations which includes stores in Soho, South Beach, and Las Vegas.
True Religion Apparel is a growing, design-based premium aspirational brand. The company designs, manufactures and markets True Religion Apparel products, including its premium True Religion Brand Jeans.
“True Religion targets young men and women with a strong sense of fashion and hip ‘downtown’ style,” says Gartner. “The Rittenhouse Square area offers the retailer an ideal combination of prestige, visibility and access to its customer target base.” More than 7,100 business establishments are located in the district and True Religion is positioned in one of the highest foot-trafficked regions in the area.
Rittenhouse Row runs from Broad Street, The Avenue of the Arts, to 21st Street and from Spruce to Market Streets. Rittenhouse Row is home to a multitude of international upscale retailers including Tiffany & Co., Diesel, Puma, Polo Ralph Lauren, Cole Haan and Burberry. Rittenhouse Row’s Lagos is the flagship store for the Philadelphia-based company that offers exquisite jewelry for men and women.
