$1 variety store is Eagleville Plaza’s newest co-anchor
CONSHOHOCKEN, PA – April 14, 2008 – Metro Commercial, the region’s largest full-service retail real estate firm, announced today that it has brokered a 10,263-square-foot lease transaction for Dollar Tree in the Eagleville Plaza shopping center in Eagleville, PA.
Metro Commercial’s Donna Drew represented Dollar Tree in the lease transaction. The national retailer joins Kmart and Genuardi’s Family Markets as the center’s newest co-anchor at 3200 Ridge Pike.
“The recent signing enhances an already strong tenant roster,” says Drew. “In addition to Kmart and Genuardi’s, Eagleville Plaza has a broad mix of amenities and services.”
Because of its location and excellent access to busy Ridge Pike, the 165,385-square-foot retail center attracts a steady stream of shoppers from the broader community.
Drew has represented Dollar Tree for the past 13 years and has negotiated all of their new leases and expansions throughout the Philadelphia regional market. Drew is also representing Dollar Tree’s newly acquired dollar store called Deal$. This is $5-and-under concept that has the benefit of increasing the average baskets price of spending through Dollar Tree.
Dollar Tree is the nation’s leading operator of single point dollar stores. As of February 2, 2008, Dollar Tree operated 3,411 stores in 48 states. The company also operates a coast-to-coast logistics network of nine distribution centers. The stores sell variety products including housewares, food, toys, beauty products, gifts, books, seasonal and party goods.
