Five Former GIANT Locations Available for Sublease in the PA Market
CONSHOHOCKEN, PA – January 28, 2010 – (RealEstateRama) — Metro Commercial announced today that they have been selected by GIANT Food Stores to sublease five of their surplus locations in Pennsylvania. The Giant-Carlisle Division of Ahold USA, headquartered in Carlisle, Pennsylvania, is a leading supermarket chain in Pennsylvania, Virginia, Maryland and West Virginia with grocery stores operating under the names of GIANT Food Stores and MARTIN’S Food Markets.
Two of the locations are in Reading, PA – +/-58,464 SF in Shillington Square Shopping Center at 2251 Lancaster Avenue and +/-65,214 SF in Exeter Plaza at 3935 Perkiomen Avenue. The third site is a free-standing +/-56,600 SF located at 1750 Loucks Road in York, PA. At Pottstown Plaza, 799 State Street, in Pottstown, PA, there is +/-57,315 SF available for sublease. An additional +/-48,000 SF is available at 345 Scarlet Road in Kennett Square, PA.
All five of these locations were older, smaller stores in the market. GIANT has relocated all five units to brand new, larger sites within each respective market as stated above.
